Milton Ground

The Milton project is a thoughtfully designed single-storey residence featuring a separate garage, with access to a private recording studio located at the rear of the garage. The layout was carefully planned to provide both functionality and privacy, allowing creative work to happen without disrupting the main living areas. This unique addition gives the home a personalised touch, perfectly suited to a lifestyle that blends comfort with creativity.

Inspired by the charm and character of Milton, a small country town known for its relaxed atmosphere and classic rural appeal, the home reflects a warm and timeless aesthetic. The design embraces simple forms and practical spaces, capturing the essence of country living while maintaining a modern level of comfort. A lightweight construction method was used throughout the build, complemented by durable tin roofing on both the main residence and the garage, reinforcing the authentic country style.

Sustainability played a key role in this project, with many reclaimed and recycled materials thoughtfully incorporated into the build. These materials not only reduced environmental impact but also added character and texture to the finished home. A skylight was installed to invite natural light into the interior, enhancing the sense of openness and warmth. Inside, the hardwood flooring was polished in a rich paint brown finish, creating a cohesive, inviting space that balances rustic charm with refined craftsmanship.
